The Work Experience
Many of our Guests at the Walt Disney World® Resort dream about becoming a Cast Member and working here in our theme parks and resorts. They want to be the skippers on The Jungle Cruise at the Magic Kingdom® Park, Monorail pilots and part of the Walt Disney Imagineering Team, which designs and creates all of our attractions, resorts, theme parks and more. Your child has an opportunity to make this dream a reality and make the magic for which our company is known throughout the world.
You might be thinking, that sounds good, but what do transporting
Guests to a theme park or making corny jokes about elephants have to do with my
child's major? That's a valid question, and you can rest assured, the answer is
simple. Everything!
The list of transferable skills your child can learn while participating in the Disney College Program includes:

In the workplace, we train our Cast Members to exceed the already high expectations of our Guests. Companies across the globe pay to send their employees to our Disney Institute business classes to learn about our business philosophies and corporate culture and to gain the tools needed to be successful in our core strengths: leadership, loyalty, management, service and creativity. Your child will be living and working in this environment each day.
The Disney College Program is similar to any valuable opportunity - the more you put in, the more you will get out of it. There are numerous learning activities, occasions to network, volunteer events and other opportunities our participants can take advantage of to enhance their experience and maintain a well-rounded program experience.
