- For whom is
the program intended?
The Disney College Program is appropriate for students of all backgrounds and majors, from freshmen to seniors. The Disney College Program offers a learning experience for every student.
- What are the
application requirements?
Students interviewing for the program must have completed (or be completing) a semester of school at the time of their interview. Seniors may apply for the program, but must be enrolled in school at the time of their interview. Additional requirements may apply per school guidelines - Students are told to check with their school for any additional requirements.
- How do
students apply?
- Students must review the Recruiting Schedule and identify a presentation that works for their schedule, or view the E-Presentation online.
- Next, they must fill out the on-line application. If attending a live presentation, they will need to print a copy of their submitted application for their interview.
- Students will attend their selected presentation. To ensure that students receive timely and accurate information about the Disney College Program, presentation attendance is required to interview for the program.
- Students are provided information on scheduling interviews following their presentation.
- If attending a live presentation, students must bring their completed application, printed out from the application section of this site, and submit it to the recruiter.
- Students viewing the E-Presentation online will receive instructions for submitting materials and next steps for scheduling an interview at the completion of the presentation.
- After their interviews the students' applications will be considered, and they will be notified as to the status of their applications generally within 2-3 weeks.
- Students should meet with an advisor from their school before they make the decision to accept an offer for the Disney College Program. We advise candidates that educators are responsible for confirming a student's eligibility to participate and have the sole discretion for awarding credit.
- If invited to participate on the Disney College Program, students will receive an invitation letter, a booklet about the program, instructions how to register for courses and instructions to fill out their Participation Acknowledgement Form (their online acceptance form) on the Web site.
- On the Participation Acknowledgement Form, students select their arrival & departure dates for the program from a list.
- After accepting an invitation to participate on the Disney College Program, students will be able to access even more information on-line.
- Students must submit a $100 non-refundable Program Assessment Fee to confirm acceptance of their position. Students are not considered confirmed until the fee is received. Upon receipt of the fee, the Disney College Program Housing team will send a confirmation message to the student.
- Students download the syllabi for the courses they choose to take.
- If students
miss the presentation at their school, can they still interview?
Yes. Students may view our online, 24/7 E-Presentation at their convenience. They may also choose to attend a presentation at another school. To ensure that students receive timely and accurate information about the Disney College Program, students must view a presentation (live or online) before they can interview.
- Can you send
students applications? How do they apply?
Students must apply on-line. Once students have submitted their applications, they need to attend a presentation. At the presentation, students will receive information on scheduling interviews. Students must bring a copy of their completed applications to the presentation.
- Are cover
letters/résumés necessary?
It is not necessary to bring a résumés to apply for the Disney College Program. However, students may bring them to their interviews if they wish.
- If students
are not accepted the first time they interview, can they try again?
A student is more than welcome to apply and interview the following recruiting season (the following semester) provided that they still meet the base application/participation requirements. However, students can apply and interview only once per semester.
- Can students
come to the Walt Disney World® Resort to interview?
Unfortunately, we are unable to conduct walk-in interviews at the Walt Disney World Casting Center. We encourage candidates to attend a live presentation or schedule a phone interview after viewing the E-Presentation.
- Can parents be
sent information on the Disney College Program?
Most of the necessary information is available on the Web site. Students, parents and faculty are encouraged to attend the presentation together. A Disney College Program recruiter will be on hand to answer all questions. If you would like to speak to someone immediately, please Contact Us.
- When will the
College Recruiter come to my college or university?
Traditionally, recruiters conduct presentations twice a year (once during the fall semester and once during the spring semester) at "host schools". Host schools provide our recruiters a location for conducting presentations. Educators and students from "visiting schools" must travel to these "host schools" for a presentation.
"Host schools" are chosen using a number of criteria, including undergraduate populations, majors offered and geographical location. Please Contact Us if you are interested in becoming a host school.
